You will deiscover the Two Hand Technic wich will give your knitted fabtic the right tension working two colours at one time. Other well known elements from Fair Isle knitting you will explore are the two colour ribbed cuff and you will learn how to make a 'steek' .
In the afternoon you can meke the most of your free time.
Tips for your free afternoon:
If the weather is good we recommend a visit to the neighbouring openair swimmingpool; ‘The Bosberg'. The website www.zwembaddebosberg.nl gives you a fine impression and position of this pool.
Within walking distance from ‘Groenewoud', lies the hobby wholesaler's shop ‘Robbelien'. www.robbelien.nl
Here you will find literally all hobby materials at a reasonable price.
At the end of your afternoon off you'll have the opportunity to go with nature guide Frans on a field trip. You will be visiting a nature reserve near by were you will meet deer and other wild animals. Duration of this trip is two hours. You'll be back in Groenewoud in time for your evening dinner.
In the evening following a traditional Limburg diner will be served at Groenewoud. My mother; Mien van Buggenum, shall wave the scepter in the kitchen.
You'll be surprised by the traditional art of her cooking.
